Laura Geller Goodies

Hi everyone! I recently got this Laura Geller Italian Garden collection from my aunt, who wasn’t using it. This collection itself was available what appears to be Fall 2015 and is no longer offered, but many of the products are still available so I’ll review them all! Continue reading

Beauties on Fire: Dragonair Eyeliner

Hi guys! It’s once again time for the next #beautiesonfire look! This month’s theme is Pokemon!

I know that I’ve been away a bit from the blogging community, and I’m so sorry, guys! I think I’m just in a bit of a rut or something, and do want to get back into the swing of things! Continue reading

June Favorites

Hey guys! I’ve never actually done a monthly favorites post before, but decided that since I have a few things that I have been reaching for consistently, I decided to give it a go. I doubt I’ll have a favorites post every month, but here we go! Continue reading

A Second January Ipsy Bag?!

Hey guys! So some of you might remember my late December Ipsy Glam Bag fiasco¬†and then me cancelling my Ipsy subscription in January? When I talked to the customer service woman about my missing glam bag, she said that my January bag could be sent out later in the month so I wouldn’t get them within two days of each other. I got one at the regular time, but then on January 30, I got an email from Ipsy with tracking info! I was confused, and since it was sent to my house instead of my school address, I had to wait until spring break to find out what it was….

A second Ipsy bag! That seems to have been sent for free. Continue reading

Things I’m No Longer Using

Hey guys! I’ve decided to go through my makeup collection and just get rid of things that I’m no longer using or don’t like or are just old. It just seems that my makeup collection has just gotten too huge within the past year or two, and skincare is getting up there, and for the amount of space I have it was just getting unmanageable. So I purged this stuff and decided to rearrange my collection a bit. Continue reading

November Ipsy Glambag

Hey all! It’s time for my Ipsy review! I’ve got to admit, I really liked my bag this month, despite thinking about cancelling my subscription in past months. This definitely improved from what I’ve been getting recently, and I feel like I might need another month to see if this is a fluke or not.

The Trick to Perfectly Sharpened Pencils

Hey everyone! I’m sure you’ve had problems with sharpening some sort of eye pencil at some point in your life. It could have been an eyeliner, or a brow pencil, or a lip liner. But whatever it was, you just couldn’t sharpen it without it looking all mangled or breaking off completely. Trust me, it’s something that I dreaded for YEARS.

And yeah, you can just buy one of those retractable liners, and you can even use them in a way so that you never need to sharpen them at all, but there are so many more color options in an actual pencil and they’re often cheaper and better for the environment. And you’re going to end up with a pencil as a free gift, or something in a subscription box, or whatever, and if you’re like me you won’t want it to go to waste.

September Ulta Haul

Hey everyone! So, um, this happened. Where I kept on getting enticing Ulta emails and bought stuff online. And then I was in my room (which is on the first floor of my house and right next to the front door) when I heard a thud from outside. The kind of box on the doorstep thud. So I go over and peek out the window and only see the mail truck parked across the street. I wasn’t sure which house it came from, as there are plenty and sound travels easily and my window was open. Had I mentioned that I had been wondering when my Ulta package would ship, because I only got the received order email, not the package sent one.

And lo and behold, MAKEUP!

The things that I got:

So it looks like I bought a lot, right? Well, I once again stumbled into crazy deals. I wanted the Stardust by Vegas Nay palette, and found out that I got 5x points on Butter for a week, and had a 20% off coupon. And I left it in my shopping cart for two, three days and then went to make sure this all was everything I wanted. Two minutes later, my phone tells me I just got an email from Ulta with one of their four-hour-only deals, where if you spend so much you get a free gift.

So the things I purchased:

Too Faced Stardust by Vegas Nay collection – twelve shadows in the palette, six inspiration cards, and mini versions of Shadow Insurance Eye Primer, Better than Sex Mascara, and Glamour Dust in Nude Beam.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in Plushie (on sale for $10).

Butter LIPPY Liquid Lipstick in Dahling

Olay Original Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Lotion, which I forgot to put in the picture.

The free gifts:

L’Oreal Le Matte in She’s So Matte. It’s a retractable lip pencil/crayon thing that looks like lipstick when applied. I like the smell when applying, and it doesn’t really linger. And the color- I saw it and had to put it on immediately.

Nyx Butter Gloss in Eclair. Again, smells good. Not big on glosses, or how pale the swatch was on my hand. Who knows?

Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Rich Raisin. My first makeup product from Neutrogena. Really love the color.

Essence XXXL Shine Lip Gloss in Metal Shine. I actually have another of these glosses, back from when I lived in Germany (so no, I don’t know why it says New on it). I always liked the color and the fact that it doesn’t smell. This color kept on acting weird for my hand swatch, but I’ll have to see on my lips. I also like the more bronzy color.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Britannia. It’s a light coral with a beautiful shimmer finish. Again, super excited to wear this on my lips.

Benefit Benetint. I never knew what this product was before, so I’m glad I can finally try it and see what it’s like. I didn’t use a lot for the swatch, and it is more of a light stain that can double as a cheek color.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Melted Peony. You remember my Melted review? This color’s a bit more up my alley, and I’m super excited to try it!

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. I don’t see a color anywhere. It’s got the same tip applicator as the Melted line (and I love it) but looks a bit more like a gloss.

The hand swatch (sorry for the bad quality. Some colors didn’t like showing up against my hand or in the picture):

Top row: Clarins and Butter

Middle row: The other seven lip products, in the order listed here

Bottom: UD liner

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara and Liner

Hey everyone! I kept on seeing these ads and things about the They’re Real! line, and honestly just looking at the liner was enough to make me question it. So when I last went to Ulta, I bought the Real Sexy Steal, which includes a full size mascara, mini liner, and mini makeup remover, all from the They’re Real! line. Another option has mascara as a mini and the liner as the full size, if you want to go with that route. Continue reading
